IBPS PO 2024: The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the upcoming Common Recruitment
Process for Recruitment and Selection of Personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management
Trainee posts (IBPS PO 2024) in the Participating Banks will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as per the tentative schedule provided below.

Educational Qualification for IBPS PO 2024:
Graduate in any stream.
Age Limit: For IBPS PO 2024
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years
i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than
01.08.2004 (both dates inclusive)

Application Fee/Charges: IBPS PO 2024
Application Fees/ Intimation Charges [Payable from 01.08.2024 to 21.08.2024 (Only online
payment), both dates inclusive] shall be as follows:
- Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Rs. 850 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others.
Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have
to be borne by the candidate
Examination Format:
Prelims- Objective
Mains- Objective + Descriptive
Descriptive Paper of English Language (Letter writing & Essay) may be evaluated by an
automated scoring mechanism for identifying features related to writing proficiency. This
scoring mechanism is duly validated and evaluates proficiency of test takers in writing in
English Language in an objective manner as the mechanism does not have any in-built biases
for evaluating responses.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
Yes, there is negative marking for wrong answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and
Online Main Examination).
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each
question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25
of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected
score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be
no penalty for that question.
